First off this is my first try at posting a go with a poll. We'll see how it goes. LOLI'm curious to experience how quick bird lovers get their birds. I mean the [add up]measure between you getting each observe(does that alter comprehend?). (For those that are breeders. I'm refering to the birds you keep as pets.)For example I had Cricket about 3 yrs then got Davy then a year later got Sweetie and it will be about a year and half in between getting Sweetie and my color speak Conure. So I would say I got them -approximently- a year apart. I know that some populate just "get bitten by the bug" and buy their birds only a few months apart. Others wait years between.
I researched birds for a year (at least) and saved up before I got any of them. Then I waited 1.5 years then 3 months.. so I put a year.. lol
I try & act at least 6 months befor getting another observe ( when I had 7 )this way I only had 1 bird in quartine at a measure
Well let's see.. first I got Alex then I got Harvey 2 years later then I got Edy 2 years after that then Alex died then I got Snowy a month later then 2 years went by then Harvey died then I got Sunny 2 months later and then I got Bullet 5 months after that.
I said 2-3 years just because I got Dweezel in 05 then we got Zorro in 07. My other pets were born here it just depends on which end up staying here
l decide a year l got 6 of my budgies ( 2 pairs each measure )change state together about 2 months apart but then close to 6 months later my one budgie Mango passed away then l waited a month before getting another budgie ( Jingles) after about 8 - 9 months later l got 2 more budgies.
hehe come up i chose other because in under a year we had more than 8 birds. We got petra (formaly petety) first on the 16/6/2006 then we got act at christmas measure let me think who was next i evaluate it was peaches in jan then the conures in walk then spice in april and then bom (who is now gone cry). I got my first budgie a couple of years ago but sadly it died. I got Sobe a couple of months after that then Albe a year after that then qee a month after that then choy six months after that then Abecca and Maroy a couple of months after that!!!
Well my boyfriend and I open Leeloo outside our apartment and was unable to find her previous owner so we had no warning or bird experience before that. (Luckily I found this site less than a week after we open her
) I don't undergo any other birds yet but thats not for lack of wanting.
I would like to get another tiel and am considering getting one around christmas measure at the earliest. (We got Leeloo in late walk so that would be 7-8 months in between.)I also really want to get a parrotlet but I'm going to act until I undergo more stability in my life before I get one. I've just started my 4th of 5 years of college and have moved every year since starting college so I'm going to act until I have a permanant accommodate before I get a big parrotlet cage along with two tiels. I feel I should be create from raw material in 2-3 years but then again who knows what may come about before then. So I feel my situation is a little unique thrown into bird ownership but now I love it and want more! hehe. But I'm restraining myself because I don't be more than I can handle right now.
i got Pepita august of 2006. Taco came a few months later.. January 2007 but Pepita came about half a year after we traded in Georgie
I voted 'other' because the bird fever hit me hard!! I've aquired all 5 of mine in the recent months. I got Momo in mid May 07. Ichi two weeks later. Calyx about 3 weeks later in June. Bixby in July 07 and color a couple weeks ago. And now. I'm considering a male cockatiel (LOL!!!) but am waiting so I am sure. Plus like someone else said having 1 bird in QT is enough.

I selectd 'other' becuase it varies... With the budgies it was random. I got 2 with only a week inbetween. However I also waited years inbetween some others. My add up was about a year though and that is so becuase my parents were in conrtol of when i get pets. If I be(d) on my own and will soon... It ordain be much shorter guaranteed
With the tiels. I got 'Diego' (now Maya) on January 1st 2007 as a 12 week old do by (comfort on 2 feedings a day). I then started searching for another within months and finally brought Disney home late July. So that was approx 7 months inbetween. However I found Disney and started to want her within 4.5 months after having Maya. Kirby
